📅 Date: aFriday, 7th November 12:30-13:15
On 7–8 November, part of the FOOD+i team will take part in Expo Sagris, the new fair held at IFEMA Madrid that will bring together companies, producers, and organisations from the primary sector to discuss innovation, sustainability, and the rural future.
Their participation aims to bring closer to primary producers some of the European initiatives they are involved in, which are shaping the path towards a more competitive and sustainable food and production model.
As part of the programme, FOOD+i will co-organise on 7 November a roundtable on alternative proteins, exploring how these new protein sources are transforming the agri-food sector by connecting the primary sector, technological innovation, and consumer trends.
The discussion will feature practical examples from innovative European projects such as DELICIOUS, EPIC SHIFT, LIKE-A-PRO, EMESH, and OANNES, showcasing how they combine biotechnology, nutrition, consumer perception, and business models to foster a more sustainable food system.
