DELICIOUS at BIOKET 2026

Cluster FOOD+i took part in BIOKET 2026, one of Europe’s key events focused on biotechnology and the bioeconomy. The event brought together researchers, technology providers, industry representatives and innovation actors to explore how bio-based solutions can move closer to industrial deployment and market uptake.

Throughout the programme, discussions focused on topics highly relevant to the DELICIOUS project, including scalable fermentation processes, functional food design, plant-based innovation and the development of new biosolutions for the future of food systems. These themes strongly connect with DELICIOUS’ ambition to improve the sensory quality of plant-based dairy alternatives such as cheese and kefir through microbial fermentation approaches.

BIOKET also provided valuable networking opportunities. During dedicated matchmaking and informal exchange sessions, FOOD+i had the opportunity to introduce the DELICIOUS project to stakeholders from across the bioeconomy ecosystem, fostering new connections and exploring potential synergies around fermentation technologies, sustainable ingredients and industrial scale-up pathways.
